Adelphi Glen Garioch 2011 is a single cask single malt whisky from the Glen Garioch Distillery, located in the village of Oldmeldrum, Aberdeenshire, Scotland and dating back to 1797. This edition was distilled in 2011 and bottled in 2020 by Adelphi, an independent bottler based in Glasgow.
Adelphi Glen Garioch 2011 was distilled from peated malted barley, then matured in a single ex-Bourbon hogshead for nine years to bring a unique style of whisky to life. This whisky displays a light golden colour with aromas of heather honey, oatcakes, butterscotch and leather. On the palate, it offers notes of vanilla, tropical fruit and toffee, before revealing a gentle smokiness on the finish.
Adelphi Glen Garioch 2011 is a complex whisky, offering the perfect balance between sweet and smoky notes. In addition, the whisky has won many awards, receiving a Gold Medal at the International Wine & Spirits Competition in 2020. As such, it is a great whisky for the discerning connoisseur.
