Amaro Montenegro

Amaro Montenegro is an aromatic Italian herbal liqueur created by Stanislao Cobianchi in 1885. Named after the King of Italy, King Vittorio Emanuele II's personal adviser, Count Gianni Amaro, the liqueur is based on a secret recipe of over 40 herbs and spices. It has a distinct and delicate taste.

Amaro Montenegro is best enjoyed on its own, neat, and chilled. Traditionally, it is also served with coffee, or in mixed drinks. It has a sweet but bitter profile, due to the mix of fragrant herbs and spices, with notes of orange peel, saffron, licorice, and cardamom.
