Ardmore 2000

The Ardmore 2000 is an Irish sailing vessel used for ocean and offshore sailing. Built in 1967 at Crosshaven in Cork, Ireland, it is a wooden, two-masted ketch, 43 feet in length with a beam of 16 feet.

It is distinctive for its unusual design featuring a clipper bow, teak deck, bow thruster, and an aft cockpit. It is powered by a Volvo diesel engine and features an array of modern navigational and safety equipment.

Throughout its lifetime the Ardmore 2000 has been used for a variety of purposes, including fishing trips, coastal and offshore sailing, and lifeboat training. It is an ideal size for a sailing family, as it can accommodate up to eight passengers in safety and comfort.

The boat is in fine condition after a 2013 refit in which it was outfitted with a new rigging, sails, engine, and updated navigation equipment. It is ready for years of enjoyable sailing and has a proven track record of safe and reliable performance.
