Falling outside of the Denomination of origin for tequila and mezcal, the state of Sonora in northwest Mexico is home to a long standing tradition of producing agave spirits, known as Bacanora. Yoowe is a boutique brand focusing on the state of Sonora, from the Casa Endemica house of agave spirits, and gives consumers the rare chance to try a different terroir and regional style of agave spirit. The flagship product in the Yoowe line, this bacanora uses Angustifolia Haw agave, cooked in an underground oven with oak and mesquite wood, giving it a delicious, rich but balanced smoky palate, with notes of molasses and fresh jalapeno.
