Bundaberg Rum Overproof

Bundaberg Rum Overproof is a special Australian rum, produced by the Bundaberg Distilling Company in Bundaberg, Queensland, Australia. The company has been producing Overproof Rum since 1888 and it is one of Australia’s most iconic and specialised spirits. Often known as a “Golden Drop”, Bundaberg Rum Overproof is made from the highest quality Australian blackstrap molasses, fermented, then pot-stilled and aged in oak barrels. The barrel-aged and non-barrel aged mixtures are then blended together and bottled at 57.7% ABV. It is a full-bodied and potent spirit packed with flavours of dark caramel, anise, earthiness and spices. Bundaberg Rum Overproof is traditionally used as a base for cocktails and long drinks as its bold and unique flavour comes alive when mixed. On its own, the Rum Overproof can be enjoyed neat, over ice or as an ingredient in a cocktail. It is one of the popular drinks for a lot of Aussies, enjoyed in bars, at BBQs and on boat trips.
