Cadenhead Glen Elgin Glenlivet 12 yo is a unique single malt whisky from the house of Cadenhead, located in the Speyside region of Scotland. This whisky is aged for 12 years in ex-bourbon barrels before bottling at exquisite cask strength of 56.7%. It is non-chill filtered, preserving all the natural flavours of the whisky, and displays classic Speyside flavours coupled with a rich body and long complex finish. On the nose, Cadenhead Glen Elgin Glenlivet 12 yo has a plethora of aromas, with notes of sweet apples, honey and subtle spice, alongside a hint of wet grass. These are backed up by a fresh coastal influence, leading to fragrant citrus and hint of peat smoke. On the palate, the whisky has a full and well-rounded body, with notes of sweet honey, ripe apples and subtle spice, intertwined with buttery toffee and hints of cracked black pepper. The finish is long and complex with sweet fruits and fragrant smoke, all nicely balanced.
