Cecchi Chianti is an Italian wine produced by the historic Cecchi Winery located in the heart of Tuscany's Chianti region. Its production dates back to the early 19th century and it is one of the most renowned and well established Italian red wines. The Cecchi Chianti recipe is a blend of two of the region’s most iconic red grapes, Sangiovese and Canaiolo. The wine is characterized by its dry and rich flavors, as well as its signature cherry-like aromas. Some varieties of Cecchi Chianti also contain other red grape varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, which add layers of complexity to the flavor profile. The wine pairs well with a wide variety of cuisine such as Italian dishes, charcuterie boards, pastas, steaks, and cheeses. It can also be enjoyed on its own as an aperitif. Because of its long and diverse production history, Cecchi Chianti can range from affordable everyday wines to very high quality wines with more complexity and depth.
