Compagnie des Indes Caribbean Rum is a renowned manufacturer of premium rums from the Caribbean. The distillery was founded in 2013 by the French spirits entrepreneur, Julien Boudier and his wife Lola. Located in Point-a-Pitre, a city in the French Antilles of Guadeloupe, the distillery combines traditional methods with modern technology to produce a wide range of premium rums. Compagnie des Indes rums are made from molasses and/or cane syrup, sugar, fresh fruit juices and spices which are fermented, concentrated and put into barrels for aging. The quality of the rum is determined by its aging process, which can last from 5 to 12 years depending on the range. The aging process is done in either bourbon or sherry barrels and through the process, the flavors in the rum are enhanced and developed. In addition to aging the rums with traditional methods, Compagnie des Indes Caribbean Rum also utilizes an innovative process known as "Caraïbeáge." This unique method combines traditional and modern distillation techniques with aging in oak barrels to create a distinctive flavor profile.
