Cricova Paper Wrap Cabernet Sauvignon is a full-bodied red wine from Cricova, a well-known winery in Moldova. The wine has a deep red color with an intense fruit character of raspberry, blackcurrant, and plum. On the palate, this Cabernet Sauvignon has flavors of cedar, tobacco, and spice, nicely balanced by a rich and silky texture that leads to a long and generous finish. This Cabernet Sauvignon is crafted from grapes grown in Cricova’s vineyards located in the Codru Valley. The vineyards’ slightly acidic soil helps to produce the desired acidity in this wine. The grapes are carefully handpicked and then fermented in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures in the presence of selected yeasts. The wine is then aged for six months in oak barrels, gaining complexity and structure during this time.
