The D'EAUBONNE VSOP is an expression of cognac produced by the Pennautier family. The estate was founded in 1788 in Grandloup, a small village in the heart of the Cognac region. The vineyards of the estate are situated between Jarnac and Grande Champagne, two of the biggest AOC towns in the Cognac production area. The VSOP from D'EAUBONNE has its roots in the classic style of French cognac. It is crafted with the best eaux-de-vie from the Grande Champagne and Borderies terroirs. The D'EAUBONNE VSOP is aged for a minimum of four years and is oak-matured for additional aging. This cognac is characterized by a lavish fruity bouquet, with notes of fresh woods and vanilla, as well as some nice aromas of dried fruits and spices. On the palate, the net effect of the four years of maturation can be sampled in the taste, which is round and full-bodied. On the finish, there is a nice length and persistence. This cognac is the perfect example of modern cognac production.
