Donnafugata Anthilia Catarratto is an Italian white wine made exclusively from Catarratto grapes. The wine is produced in Sicily, in the Southern Italian region of Ragusa, by the winery Donnafugata. The grapes are grown in Anakatozzo, which is a small estate located among vineyards and olive groves. The wine is aged for at least 6 months in stainless steel barrels and then released in the market. Donnafugata Anthilia Catarratto is a pale-straw colored wine with a light body, a floral bouquet, and aromas of green apples, white pear, and herbs. The wine is characterized by mineral and citrus notes, and a soft finish. On the palate, the wine has balanced acidity with a pleasant mineral aftertaste. This is a great wine to pair with seafood, pasta dishes, and light cheeses. It also compliments spicy dishes and vegetables as well. The recommended serving temperature for Donnafugata Anthilia Catarratto is 10-12°C.
