DRAMBUIE is a liqueur made from a blend of aged whisky, honey and herbs. This distinctive combination of ingredients has been around since 1745, when it was used as an aid to digestion. Drambuie was created by the MacKinnon family, and is now produced in Scotland by William Grant & Sons, Ltd. DRAMBUIE is known for its delicate sweetness and rich, mellow flavor, and is enjoyed as an after-dinner drink or as a cocktail ingredient. It is an essential ingredient in the Rusty Nail cocktail, and can also be combined with Scotch whisky, dry vermouth, and amaretto to make a Rob Roy. DRAMBUIE is commonly served on the rocks or poured over crushed ice.
