Duckhorn Decoy Red Migration is a decadently smooth red blend made primarily using grapes from select Napa Valley vineyards. The blend is heavily Cabernet Sauvignon at 85%, with Merlot, Malbec, Petit Verdot, and Cabernet Franc adding balance to the structure. The five varietal blend is intended to represent the best of Duckhorn's winemaking heritage as well as indicate the complexity of flavors that can be achieved by a skillfully crafted red blend. Sourcing grapes from Duckhorn’s eight estate Napa Valley vineyards and two additional top Napa Valley vineyards, Decoy Red Migration is aged for fourteen months in 30% new French Oak barrels. The resulting wine is lush and full-bodied, offering flavors of blackberry and raspberry, complemented by pleasing earthy notes. The tannins are supple, allowing for a lengthy finish that highlights the well-balanced structure of the wine.
