EH Taylor Small Batch is a premium bourbon made by the Buffalo Trace Distiller in Frankfort, Kentucky. It was created by Colonel Edmund Haynes Taylor Jr., who is widely considered to be "The Father of the Modern Bourbon Industry". Taylor was a renowned distiller, businessman, and politician who founded the now world-renowned Buffalo Trace Distillery. EH Taylor Small Batch is made in traditional century-old style. It is a blend of hand-selected barrels of internally-aged stock made in small batches. It is aged in new, charred, American oak barrels for at least four years, allowing it to attain a complex flavor and aroma. The deep amber color of Taylor's Small Batch belies its robust and full-bodied character. The resulting bourbon has sweet aromas of caramel, toffee, and vanilla, as well as a robust, yet smooth finish. It mixes well in a variety of classic bourbon cocktails, such as Old Fashioned, Manhattan, or Whiskey Sour. It also makes a great sipping bourbon when served neat or on the rocks.
