Folonari Valpolicella Ripasso Classico is a deeply colored Italian red wine from the region of Veneto. This full-bodied, powerful wine shows a great concentration of ripe red and black fruit aromas supported by rich hints of leather and spices, reflecting its Amarone-style production. The Folonari Valpolicella Ripasso Classico is created with two distinct steps. First, grapes are vinified using a traditional method. Then, after that, the partially-fermented juice from the Amarone is “repassed” over the less ripe red grape skins and seeds of the Valpolicella. This process creates complexity and concentration of aromas and flavors, making the resulting wines more intense. Folonari Valpolicella Ripasso Classico combines the elegance of Valpolicella with the complexity and intensity of Amarone. The wine is robust yet smooth, offering complex aromas of ripe cherry, blackberry, vanilla, and sweet spices.
