Hep Dailuaine

Dailuaine is a distillery located in Speyside, Scotland, and part of the Chivas Regal group of distilleries. It is one of the largest malt whisky distilleries in Scotland. Founded in 1852, it produces one of the most widely available single malts. The distillery sits amidst rolling hills on the banks of the Dailuaine Burn and produces the signature whisky of the same name. Dailuaine Distillery produces a range of malts, including the 12 Year Old, Flora and Fauna, 16 Year Old, and Connoisseurs Choice. It is chiefly a bourbon cask whisky, other casks, such as Sherry, also being used at times. The whisky is generally smooth and sweet, with a hint of smokiness and a fruitiness that compliments the flavor. Dailuaine bottles are known for their scarlet label, a classic among the Scotch whisky industry. The distillery prides itself on its tradition, using methods that have remained largely unchanged since the nineteenth century. In addition to their whisky production, the distillery also makes a specialty liqueur called Dailuaine Dram, made from whisky, local honey, and herbs.
