Herrardura Reposado was released in 2019 and is a 100% agave tequila. It comes from the Jalisco area in Mexico and is named after the horseshoe-shaped hacienda outside of the city of Guadalajara. The agave is grown for seven to eight years and is harvested by hand. After it is harvested, it is cooked for 24 hours in its traditional brick oven, tahona, which gives it its unique flavor. After being cooked, it is transferred to stainless-steel tanks where the agave flavors are extracted through a process of crushing, fermentation, and distillation over a period of two weeks. Herrardura Reposado is a unique tasting tequila with hints of oak, caramel, allspice, and a subtle smokiness. The combination of the oak and spice makes this tequila well rounded, full-bodied, and smooth. It is a great choice for cocktails, such as margaritas and palomas. It has a perfect balance between sweet and savory and a great aroma that make it the perfect choice for a night out.
