Product / Technical Review
The Yuzu Japanese Bitters has a gorgeous citrus fragrance matched to a sour flavor, landing somewhere between grapefruit and lime. The Yuzu (Citrus Juno) is a citrus fruit originating in Southern Japan. It is believed to be a hybrid of sour mandarin and Ichang papeda. Yuzu bitters are made using only the freshest and most fragrant Citrus Junos.
Tasting Notes
Yuzu fruit, lemon and orange citrus, balanced acidity, bright lime aroma, and slight tartness
Pairing Notes
Try it in place of orange bitters in a martini, or add drops to Gin & Tonic, wine spritzer, or a range of cocktails and drinks for added aromatics and flavor.
Agent Review Note
Yuzu fruit resembles a very small grapefruit with uneven skin texture and can be either yellow or green depending on the level of ripeness. Fruit is purchased directly from the farmers in Tokushima prefecture, renowned for its yuzu production.
