A clean and precise raicilla from the maestro distiller Gerardo "Lobo" Pena. He traditionally works with agave Maxamiliana, found wild on his property, and often on the steep mountainside, where it is especially challenging to harvest. He built his copper pot stills and adobe style oven himself, and truly cemented himself as a premier distiller in the style of raicilla making synonimous with the mountainous region of Jalisco. Lobo officially retired from raicilla production in mid 2024, and whatever stock that is left is the last we will see from this truly living legend.
